In the European culture, flowers stand for the expression of friendliness, warmth, trust and affection. Therefore, they are magnificently decorated on the table for a wide variety of occasions, given away with meaningful gestures or placed in the home interior as statement pieces - and always trigger positive emotions on the viewer.
It was the far-reaching significance of flowers that inspired our artist Lena Hensel to develop the unique "Giant Bloom" pattern. She was able to skillfully combine her great enthusiasm and expertise for colors and their numerous symbolisms and effects with the world of flowers.
Together with our porcelain painters at the manufactory, a wide variety of floral designs were created in just under 12 months, bringing spring and summer to the home table with their colors. Painting style, coloring and composition on the porcelain were discussed and tried again and again until finally, with "Giant Bloom", the traditional genre of flower painting at MEISSEN now finds its modern continuation in bright colors. It was inspired by the "Giant Bloom" vase of the same name from the Limited Masterpieces collection, which has already caused great enthusiasm among lovers and collectors of Meissen porcelain with its large-scale paintings. With
"MEISSEN® Cosmopolitan Giant Bloom", the reinterpretation of the impressive floral decoration now has space to unfold freely on the table. The various types of flowers are skilfully highlighted by the hand-painting on the wide plate rim of the "MEISSEN® Cosmopolitan" shape. Complementary
home deco vases complete the table arrangement.
